About Elias Hart

Elias Hart writes about people in motion – people who depart, lose, search, and sometimes find. His stories are set in real places with real histories, told with literary care and a feel for the human.

Born in a small town on the edge of the Black Forest, he now lives alternately in the city and the countryside – always with a notebook, always searching for stories that matter.

On writing

"I write because I believe in the power of language. That a good book can change something – in yourself, in the way you see others. Jakob is my first novel, and it has taught me more than I expected."
